Compensation Director
Gong is seeking a Compensation Director to lead the strategy, design, and execution of global compensation programs that support the company's growth and business objectives. This role is integral to shaping Gong's compensation philosophy, scaling compensation infrastructure, and ensuring programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's business strategy.
The Compensation Director will oversee global compensation strategies, including salary, equity, incentives, and job architecture. Key responsibilities include partnering with executive leadership, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners to align compensation programs with business strategy and workforce planning. The role also involves managing annual compensation planning processes, such as merit cycles, promotions, equity refreshes, and executive compensation support. Additionally, the director will build scalable compensation frameworks and infrastructure to support a rapidly growing global organization, drive compensation analytics and insights, and lead benchmarking and market analysis efforts to ensure competitiveness.
Candidates should have over 10 years of progressive compensation experience, particularly in high-growth technology companies. Deep expertise in compensation strategy, analytics, equity programs, and operations is essential. Strong business acumen, advanced analytical and modeling skills, and experience advising senior leaders are required. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable compensation programs in fast-paced, evolving organizations and possess exceptional communication and project leadership skills. Experience supporting global organizations and pre-IPO environments is strongly preferred.
