Chainguard is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Account Executive to join our sales team, focusing on the DACH region. As a trusted provider of secure and production-ready open-source software, we help organizations build faster, maintain compliance, and mitigate risk. Our clientele includes Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders.

In this role, you will define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory, conveying our value proposition and product differentiators to prospects and customers. You will be responsible for developing and managing a leads funnel through a combination of inbound and outbound efforts, forecasting, meeting, and exceeding sales quotas. Additionally, you will collaborate on all aspects of the sales cycle, including product, support, and sales engineering, while maintaining accurate records in CRM and other supporting tools.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience selling SaaS or security solutions, with a strong track record of consistently overachieving sales targets. Business-level German proficiency (C1 or higher) is required. Domain experience with compute platforms (such as Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps tooling, CICD platforms (like GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), and overall software development lifecycle is strongly recommended. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a competitive and driven attitude, and the ability to learn new products and processes quickly are essential.
