Collection Agent
As a Collection Agent at Example Corp, you will be an integral part of our dynamic call center team in Wichita, Kansas. Your role will focus on collecting unpaid or past-due revenue, aiming to restore customers to good standing. This position offers an opportunity to apply your customer service skills in a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.
Your daily responsibilities will include verifying and updating account information, documenting each call, and ensuring compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and state legal requirements. You will also provide appropriate payment options, negotiate terms based on company loan agreements, and securely obtain and record debit or credit card information from customers. Meeting and exceeding company collections standards and call quality scores will be essential aspects of your role.
To succeed in this position, you should have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of experience in phone-based collections, customer service, or sales. Experience in a call center collections environment is advantageous. Strong data-entry skills, effective decision-making, negotiation abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask are crucial. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including potential Saturdays and Sundays, is required. Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows-based environment is also necessary.
