Cloud Engineer
Experian is seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Information Technology & Systems department. This full-time, hybrid role involves maintaining and developing a cloud environment that hosts mission-critical financial services applications used across Australia and New Zealand. The position is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
Key responsibilities include applying DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure as Code to facilitate seamless project deployments. The role also involves providing expertise in cloud solutions, including deployment pipelines, automation, virtual machines, and Azure PaaS services. Additionally, the engineer will investigate and resolve identified security vulnerabilities, implement approved network changes, and collaborate with other engineers to ensure consistency and efficiency across cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and hold a tertiary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Azure, including Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage, is required. While experience with Checkpoint firewalls is desirable, it is not essential. Candidates should possess at least one relevant certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
