Clinical Lab Assistant II--Day Shift - Weekends

The Clinical Lab Assistant II position at Example Corp involves supporting critical operations in COVID-19 testing labs through RNA extraction, inventory management, and clerical tasks, all while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards. This role is integral to the laboratory team, working under the direct supervision of Laboratory Leads or Clinical Laboratory Scientists.

Key responsibilities include assisting Clinical Laboratory Scientists and Lab Technicians with RNA extraction and PCR processes, managing inventory and ordering supplies, performing clerical duties, and other tasks as assigned. The position requires full-time commitment, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, including potential weekend shifts.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Medical Laboratory Science, along with a minimum of six months of related laboratory experience or equivalent education and experience. Clinical laboratory experience is essential, encompassing customer service, specimen processing, and laboratory support in hospital or reference laboratory settings. Proficiency in computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication, a strong understanding of good laboratory practices, regulatory compliance, and knowledge of medical terminology are also required.

The compensation for this role is $25.00 per hour. The work schedule consists of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with potential weekend shifts as needed.
