Client Investment Research Associate
The Client Investment Research Associate at Bridgewater Associates plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm's client service strategy across front office departments, including the Alpha Engine, Total Portfolio Strategies, and Client Service. This position involves close collaboration with Strategists, Client Advisors, asset class teams, and Chief Investment Officers to develop and execute client-focused research projects, providing novel investment insights that inform clients' thinking. Key responsibilities include understanding Bridgewater's book of business and investment philosophy, strategizing with various teams to handle client requests, and applying analytical skills to create insights that shape clients' investment decisions. The role also involves delivering client-ready portfolio position and performance reports and contributing to the development of new tools and models to enhance client service processes.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic and extracurricular track record, a keen interest in markets and investing, and the ability to solve complex problems through analysis. An aptitude for creative quantitative work involving financial and economic data is essential. The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week, primarily at Bridgewater's New York City campus. Some teams operate on a hybrid schedule, alternating between the New York City and Westport campuses. Bridgewater offers a competitive compensation package, with a wage range for this role between $130,000 and $260,000, inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus.
