CISO (Chief Information & Security Officer)
The Chief Information & Security Officer (CISO) at Energy Exemplar is a pivotal role responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital assets, employee, and customer data. The CISO will lead the Information Security team, ensuring the development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy aligned with Energy Exemplar's business objectives.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing an information security strategy, overseeing the product security program to integrate secure software development practices, and leading audits for certifications such as SOC2 and ISO 27001. The CISO will also manage incident response efforts, continuously assess cybersecurity risks, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, promote security awareness among employees, and oversee the adoption of effective security technologies. Additionally, the role involves managing third-party security risks, allocating resources efficiently, and communicating security program statuses to senior management and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Essential skills include a deep understanding of security technologies, secure software development practices, cloud and network security, risk management principles, and incident management. Experience with security certifications and compliance frameworks, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities, are also required.
