Chief Risk Officer, Managing Director
iCapital Network is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to establish a formal second line of defense, integrating Regulatory & Compliance, Enterprise Risk & Governance, and Safety, Resilience & Incident Management under a unified risk structure. This role is pivotal in overseeing enterprise-wide risk management, regulatory compliance, and safety and resilience programs, ensuring strong governance and disciplined risk oversight as the company scales globally. The CRO will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate closely with executive leadership, the Board, and the Board-level Audit & Risk Management Committee.
The CRO's key responsibilities include overseeing global regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, providing leadership on regulatory requirements for alternative investments and structured products, and managing regulatory registrations and ongoing obligations. Additionally, the role involves designing and executing iCapital's enterprise risk management framework, enhancing internal controls, and collaborating with Technology and Security teams to manage platform, data protection, and information security risks. The CRO will also ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and lead incident management frameworks.
Ideal candidates should possess extensive experience in alternative investments, complex regulatory environments, and enterprise risk management. A proven track record in leading global teams, developing scalable policies and controls, and engaging with senior management and the Board on risk-related matters is essential. Strong leadership skills, the ability to foster a culture of accountability, and experience in cross-functional collaboration are also critical.
