Business Trial Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals, is seeking an experienced Business Trial Paralegal to join their Orlando, Florida office. This role involves working closely with attorneys to provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation process, from case inception through trial and appeal.
Key responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. The paralegal will also e-file court documents in state and federal courts, communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, conduct legal research, and prepare discovery documents. Additional duties encompass drafting and serving summons, coordinating and summarizing depositions, preparing trial binders and exhibits, and assisting with case settlements.
Candidates should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program. A minimum of two years of litigation experience is required, preferably in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.
