Business Development and Markets Researcher
The Business Development and Markets Researcher at Gilbert + Tobin is a pivotal role within the firm's Marketing team, dedicated to delivering high-quality research and analysis that inform strategic decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Global Markets Manager, Chief Marketing Officer, and other key stakeholders, contributing to the firm's growth and client development strategies.
Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth research into global markets, clients, industries, and sectors, encompassing financial and transactional analysis. The role also involves analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to guide business development priorities. Additionally, the researcher will prepare clear, data-driven reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders, supporting strategic projects such as sector strategies, client research programs, and international initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years' experience in research, consulting, business development, corporate advisory, or a related field, preferably within a law firm, professional services, or consulting environment. Strong analytical skills in financial and market data, proficiency in preparing reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, and advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience with Power BI is highly regarded. A degree in commerce, economics, finance, business, or a related discipline is required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
