Backend Tech Lead (Remote, Contract)

As a Backend Tech Lead at INFUSE, you will play a pivotal role in defining architecture and standards, delivering end-to-end features, and consistently enhancing reliability, security, and delivery speed. This position is ideal for individuals who lead by example, combining technical expertise with leadership to drive the team's success.

Your primary responsibilities will include hardening CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins, building and testing containers, and deploying via Helm to AWS environments such as EKS or ECS. You will implement lightweight bot protection measures, monitor system performance through tools like CloudWatch and Grafana, and optimize database performance by tuning indexes, caching strategies, and API response times.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience building production systems and at least two years in a lead or ownership role. Proficiency PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB is essential, along with experience in API design using OpenAPI 3 and CI/CD processes. A deep understanding of security principles, including RBAC and session/auth flows, is required. Fluency in Ukrainian and/or Russian, along with an upper-intermediate level of English, is also necessary.

Compensation is competitive and paid in USD, with timely monthly payments via bank transfer, PayPal, or Payoneer.
