Associate Attorney
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, California. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing compelling case strategies, managing court appearances, conducting depositions, handling motion practice, and preparing for trials. The role requires maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients, collaborating seamlessly with attorneys and staff at all experience levels, and mentoring junior attorneys to contribute to the team's growth and success.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of California. The ideal candidate will have 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. Prior insurance defense experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, is essential.
The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
