Associate Attorney
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, Florida. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing compelling case strategies, managing court appearances, conducting depositions, handling motion practice, and participating in trials. Additional duties include maintaining consistent communication with clients, building and nurturing client relationships, and mentoring junior attorneys to contribute to the team's overall success.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of Florida. A minimum of 1 to 8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation, is required. The ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial is essential. Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are also necessary.
The base salary for this position ranges from $103,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
