Associate Attorney
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in Tallahassee, Florida. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing compelling case strategies, managing court appearances, conducting depositions, engaging in motion practice, and participating in trials. The role requires independent management of a full caseload from discovery through trial, while maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients. Additionally, the attorney will collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and provide mentorship to junior attorneys, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of Florida. The ideal candidate will have 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, are essential.
The base salary for this position ranges from $103,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus ranging from $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
