Associate Attorney
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing compelling case strategies, managing court appearances, conducting depositions, and overseeing motion practice and trials. The role involves collaborating with attorneys and staff at all experience levels, maintaining consistent communication with clients, and mentoring junior attorneys to contribute to the team's growth and success.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of California. Applicants should have 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. The ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial is essential. Prior insurance defense experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
