Associate Attorney

Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Scottsdale, Arizona office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to innovative insurance defense and trial advocacy, contributing to the firm's mission to prevent Nuclear Verdicts® and deliver exceptional client service.

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing effective case strategies, managing court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials independently. Collaboration with attorneys and staff at all levels is essential, as is maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior attorneys and fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of Arizona. The firm seeks individuals with 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. Prior insurance defense experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, are essential.

Tyson & Mendes offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from $90,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for annual billable hours bonuses, comprehensive benefits coverage, a 401(k) program with employer matching, student loan repayment assistance, paid parental leave, and a monthly technology reimbursement.
