The Assistant Financial Controller - Taxation at Experian is a pivotal role within the finance department, focusing on managing direct and indirect tax compliance, reporting, internal controls, and other compliance-related activities. This position serves as a key leader, providing strategic insights to the Country Controller and representing the company in tax assessments and statutory filings. Key responsibilities include leading and facilitating the Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) application process, managing tax submissions and representations at various forums, preparing corporate tax returns and transfer pricing study reports, overseeing monthly and quarterly withholding tax filings, and reviewing financial statements and cash flow projections. The role also involves analyzing financial data to support strategic business decisions, monitoring operating expenses, and serving as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional certification such as CPA or CA being preferred. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with 5–10 years of experience in APA, Transfer Pricing, or International Tax. Experience with Functional Analysis and Risk (FAR) analysis, transfer pricing models, and the Indian APA program is also desirable.
