Applied Value Engineer
The Applied Value Engineer at Celonis plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven business transformation for clients. This position involves collaborating closely with the sales team to guide customers through their value journey, leveraging the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform to help them achieve strategic objectives and realize significant value. The role is integral to Celonis' mission of making processes work for people, companies, and the planet.
Key responsibilities include identifying and framing value by translating customers' strategic priorities into high-impact use cases, supporting the development of business cases, and orchestrating value assessments to communicate opportunities to C-level executives. The role also involves guiding customers and partners in using Celonis to identify and qualify opportunities for process enhancement, driving improvement measures, and presenting realized value to senior management. Additionally, the Applied Value Engineer is responsible for managing the customer value journey, driving expansion, adoption, and renewals, and providing feedback to product development teams to enhance the platform based on new use cases.
The ideal candidate possesses experience in analytical roles focused on demonstrating or securing value through business data analysis and process improvement, preferably in customer-facing positions such as Customer Success, Sales Engineering, or IT/Management Consulting with a Business Software/SaaS provider or consultancy. Proficiency in business software applications (e.g., SAP), experience with RPA or BI tools, and knowledge of Python and/or SQL are essential. Strong project management skills, executive stakeholder management experience, and expertise in finance and/or supply chain domains are also required. A degree in Technology & Management, Industrial/Business Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a comparable field is preferred.
