APAC Risk Assessment Analyst
The APAC Risk Assessment Analyst will join Interactive Brokers Hong Kong Limited's Risk Assessment Team within the New Accounts Department. This role involves collaborating with both retail and professional clients to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on individual and corporate applications, analyzing and verifying sources of funds and wealth, and investigating alerts from multiple queues. The analyst will also evaluate and resolve issues related to negative news, red flags, or potential Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) matches, and provide guidance on complex applications. Additionally, the role involves timely escalation of suspected financial crimes and close collaboration with other New Account teams and the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) department.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and have 2-3 years of experience in client service or financial services, preferably in a brokerage or corporate banking environment. Experience with onboarding or reviewing high-risk client relationships and conducting EDD is essential. Proficiency in English and Cantonese is required, with Mandarin being advantageous. Strong research, investigative, and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with the ability to make risk-based recommendations and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
