Analyst, Business Intelligence (FTC)
The Analyst, Business Intelligence (FTC) role at WPP Media involves conducting in-depth research and analysis on assigned industries and topics, including macroeconomics, sectors like CPG, media industry dynamics, and key social and technological drivers. The analyst will develop a deep understanding of the competitive media landscape, including key players, market share, and competitive strategies. Responsibilities include tracking and analyzing industry news, company filings, and relevant data sources to identify emerging trends and insights for GroupM clients. The role also involves building and maintaining detailed financial models to support market sizing and forecasting, as well as preparing well-structured and insightful research reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration with team members and investment teams to develop and refine media forecasts and provide perspective on media owner and advertisers' strategies is also expected.
The ideal candidate should have experience in investment banking, equity research, media research, management consulting, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and draw meaningful conclusions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, or Google Workspace, particularly Sheets, is necessary. Experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet is a plus. A passion for the media and advertising industry is highly desirable.
