AML Sanctions Specialist (TMP)

Wise is seeking an AML Sanctions Specialist to join our Sanctions Investigations and Reporting team. This team is responsible for reviewing and investigating potential violations of various sanctions programs, including those from OFAC, the EU, the UK, and the UN. As a global technology company, Wise is dedicated to building the best way to move and manage money across borders.

In this role, you will investigate and provide final decisions on escalated sanctions cases, utilizing investigative tools and web research to analyze vessel movements, beneficial ownership, and potential sanctions links. You will prepare and review draft sanction filings, offer advice on sanctions-related issues, and help facilitate governance over sanctions lists and screening frameworks. Additionally, you will identify compliance issues and suggest corrective actions to improve controls and operations.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of experience in sanctions, with strong knowledge of OFAC, UK, EU, and UN sanctions regulations. You should possess excellent research and analytical skills, the ability to multitask, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

The starting salary for this position is 132,000 BRL annually, along with company restricted stock units and numerous benefits in our São Paulo office.
