AI Quality Engineer
Celonis is seeking an AI Quality Engineer to join the Sailfin Accounts Receivable (AR) Team within the Finance & Accounting domain. This product engineering team is responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise-grade AR product utilized by global customers. The team employs modern engineering practices, AI/ML capabilities, automation, and integrates deeply with platforms such as Salesforce, Celonis, and other enterprise systems.
In this role, the AI Quality Engineer will be responsible for architecting and maintaining a scalable, modular automation framework using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript). They will drive the full QA strategy across frontend/UI, backend/API, and data validation, ensuring robust test coverage across the end-to-end workflow. The engineer will validate data integrity between Salesforce and Celonis, identify edge cases involving complex business logic, process mining models, and multi-step data transformations, and ensure consistency across pipelines, APIs, and event flows. Additionally, they will lead performance engineering efforts using tools like k6 or JMeter to ensure reliable performance under large enterprise-scale data volumes. A key aspect of the role involves leveraging LLMs and AI tools to auto-generate test cases, summarize failures, enable root-cause analysis, and build intelligent test assistants, supporting the shift from manual testing to AI-first Quality Engineering.
Candidates should have at least six years of experience in technical QA roles on high-scale web applications, with strong hands-on experience using Playwright, including async patterns, state management, debugging, and custom fixtures. A solid understanding of QA methodologies, regression strategies, risk-based testing, and CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) is essential. Proficiency in API testing, data validation, and automation best practices is required. Experience with LLM-powered QA tools (such as Copilot, Codeium, or test generators) and the ability to use LLMs or Python scripts to automate repetitive quality tasks are advantageous. Additional plus factors include experience working with Salesforce, Apex, or Salesforce data models, understanding of Celonis or other process mining/data transformation platforms, experience with performance testing tools like k6, JMeter, or Locust, and exposure to enterprise data pipelines or ETL validation.
