WPP Media: Senior Financial Analyst- Cairo
The Senior Financial Analyst at WPP Media in Cairo is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for assigned business units. This role supports month-end close processes, statutory and management reporting, balance sheet governance, and compliance with internal controls. The analyst will work closely with commercial teams to maintain financial accuracy on client accounts and support internal and external audit requests.
Key responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications. The analyst will perform detailed balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, resolving variances as needed. Additionally, the role involves supporting the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecast cycles, analyzing variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts, and providing actionable commentary. The analyst will also review client billing, revenue accruals, and cost allocations, ensuring adherence to internal control frameworks, including SOX where applicable.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as IFRS, FMVA, or ACCA, or progress toward these certifications. The role requires 2–4 years of progressive experience in accounting, reporting, or finance, preferably within media, advertising, agency, or professional services environments. Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Workday, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling, are essential. A high attention to detail and strong analytical skills are also required.
