Werkvoorbereider - Civiele Werken (Gent)
As a Werkvoorbereider in Civiele Werken at BESIX, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of complex infrastructure projects in the Ghent region. In this role, you will support the project leader during both the preparation and execution phases of civil works. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and adjusting technical drawings from subcontractors and suppliers, developing effective work methods, calculating and procuring necessary materials, and negotiating prices with vendors. You will also be tasked with creating project schedules, monitoring construction progress and associated costs, maintaining project documentation, and serving as the liaison between external contacts and the on-site team.
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of five years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects and has a solid understanding of public procurement processes and related legislation. Proactive and innovative, you should be comfortable leveraging both internal and external networks to drive project success. Fluency in Dutch is essential, and proficiency in other languages is considered an asset. Mobility within the East and West Flanders regions is also required.
