Red Cell Partners is seeking a highly proactive Vice President of Engineering to lead and scale a high-performing team developing cutting-edge AI-enabled technology. This role involves overseeing the development of secure, resilient, and auditable systems deployed in demanding environments, including government and defense sectors. The position is fully remote within the United States.

The VP of Engineering will lead and grow a team of over 10 senior software engineers, focusing on mentorship and technical excellence. Responsibilities include setting the technical vision and execution strategy across the full technology stack—frontend, backend services, data platforms, and AI/optimization system integrations. The role also involves driving experimentation and innovation while maintaining reliability and security, partnering with researchers to translate complex algorithms into scalable systems, and overseeing engineering delivery, including roadmaps and architectural decisions.

Candidates should have proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams in high-growth or startup environments. A strong technical background in modern web architectures, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud platforms is essential. Experience bringing complex AI, optimization, or data-intensive systems into production environments is required. The role demands clear communication skills, the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces, and experience in DoD, IC, federal, or similarly regulated environments. US citizenship is required, and all work must be performed within the United States.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $250,000 to $290,000, along with a bonus and equity package.
