VP, Government Affairs

Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Vice President of Government Affairs to lead the company's engagement with federal, state, and local governments. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and advising the CEO and Executive Team, this role is pivotal as Peregrine transitions from early-stage execution to scaled programs and increased government visibility. The company specializes in AI-enabled platforms that transform disconnected data into operational intelligence, serving hundreds of customers across multiple states and countries.

The Vice President will develop and implement a comprehensive policy and engagement strategy for both federal and state-level operations. Responsibilities include managing relationships across executive and legislative branches, supporting government-funded programs and contracts, and ensuring alignment between public policy objectives and business priorities. This role requires balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution to navigate complex political and regulatory environments.

Candidates should have over 12 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields, with a background in public safety policy or aligned industries. Essential qualifications include demonstrated experience managing lobbyists and federal-level strategies, a strong understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes, and exceptional communication skills. The position is based in New York City, with an expectation to work in the office four days per week.

The compensation package includes a salary range of $300,000 to $385,000 annually, along with benefits, equity options, and potential bonuses. Actual compensation will be influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and specific work location.
