VP, Government Affairs

Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Vice President of Government Affairs to lead the company's engagement with federal, state, and local governments. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and advising the CEO and Executive Team, this role is pivotal as Peregrine transitions from early-stage execution to scaled programs and increased government visibility. The VP will develop and implement strategies to enhance the company's presence and influence among key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include building a disciplined policy and engagement strategy for both federal and state-level operations, managing relationships across executive and legislative branches, and supporting government-funded programs and contracts. The role also involves overseeing external political infrastructure, such as lobbyists and advisors, and ensuring alignment between public policy objectives and business priorities as the company grows.

The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields, with a strong background in public safety policy or aligned industries. Demonstrated experience managing lobbyists and federal-level strategies, along with a solid understanding of state legislative, regulatory, and budget processes, is essential. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment are also required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $300,000 to $385,000 annually, along with benefits, equity options, and potential bonuses. Actual compensation will be influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and specific work location.
