Virginia Growth & Engagement Lead
Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Virginia Growth & Engagement Lead to drive statewide expansion by establishing strategic partnerships with state leaders and converting these relationships into tangible market outcomes. This role is pivotal in aligning Peregrine's AI-enabled platform with Virginia's public safety and governmental priorities, facilitating the transformation of disconnected data into actionable intelligence for improved decision-making.
The primary responsibilities include identifying and developing opportunities within major Virginia agencies such as the Virginia State Police (VSP), Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC), Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), and the Virginia Office of the Governor (VAOG). The role involves serving as the primary liaison to state and local officials, influencers, and external advisors, building trusted relationships, and translating policy developments and funding opportunities into revenue-generating initiatives. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with internal teams to create compelling materials and lead high-impact engagements that promote the adoption of Peregrine's technology.
Candidates should possess a deep understanding of the challenges facing Virginia's public safety and governmental sectors, coupled with a passion for addressing these issues at scale. A minimum of 7 years of experience in government partnerships, public-sector business development, or state-level strategy within Virginia is required. Proven ability to convert government priorities and funding flows into commercial opportunities, strong relationships with Virginia state agencies, and exceptional communication and strategic planning skills are essential. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for policymakers are also critical.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 annually, along with benefits, equity options, and potential bonuses. Compensation is influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and specific work location.
