Vergunningen Specialist
As a Vergunningen Specialist at BESIX Nederland, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of complex, multidisciplinary projects by managing all permitting processes. You will be part of a dynamic team within a company renowned for its innovative and sustainable construction projects, ranging from civil engineering works like bridges and sluices to iconic buildings across the Netherlands.
Your primary responsibilities will include serving as the main point of contact for both the tender and project organizations, as well as relevant authorities concerning permits. You will oversee the entire permitting process: identifying necessary permits, mapping out applicable laws and regulations, gathering submission requirements from project teams, liaising with authorities, submitting and coordinating permit applications during planning and execution phases, and ensuring compliance with complex permit conditions during implementation. Additionally, you will proactively gather information from project teams, anticipate changes, analyze potential impacts, and adjust processes accordingly. Providing input on project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment from a permitting perspective, as well as contributing to the development and sharing of knowledge on laws and regulations, including the new Environmental Act, will also be key aspects of your role.
The ideal candidate holds a completed HBO or WO degree in fields such as construction, environment, water, civil engineering, urban planning, public administration, law, or similar disciplines. You have experience as a permit manager or advisor, working with contractors, companies, and governments on both large and small projects. A thorough understanding of current legislation and demonstrable knowledge of construction and environmental law are essential. Strong leadership and organizational skills, along with excellent commercial, communicative, and social abilities, are required. Diplomatic networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships naturally are also important.
