Ventures Analyst/Associate
Plug and Play Tech Center is seeking a Ventures Analyst/Associate to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on tracking emerging technologies, building entrepreneurial relationships, and facilitating direct startup connections with our corporate partners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for entrepreneurship and technology, understanding how startups scale, and be driven to actively contribute to our ecosystem and investment portfolio.
Key responsibilities include sourcing Pre-seed, Seed, and Series A startups for investment opportunities and introductions to our corporate partners and accelerator programs. The role involves supporting the deal team on investment due diligence, analyzing market dynamics, examining industry trends, and tracking the competitive landscape. Additionally, the Analyst/Associate will mentor startups on product development, fundraising, and scaling, while actively connecting them with a broader network of industry-specific advisors and service providers.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Data Analysis, or a related field. Candidates should possess advanced problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team in an unstructured environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in a startup environment or venture capital, and an MBA is considered advantageous.
Compensation for this role is competitive, with salary estimates ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
