Vendor Relationship Manager
As a Vendor Relationship Manager at Checkr, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing relationships with our external vendors. This position is integral to our operations team, ensuring that our partnerships align with Checkr's mission to build a fairer future by designing a faster and more efficient way to screen job seekers. Established in 2014, Checkr leverages modern technology powered by machine learning to assist hiring teams in making informed decisions, serving over 100,000 customers including DoorDash, Coinbase, Lyft, Instacart, and Airtable.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire vendor lifecycle, from selection and negotiation to performance evaluation and contract management. Your day-to-day activities will include developing strategic partnerships, monitoring vendor performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that vendor services meet Checkr's quality and compliance standards. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our vendor management practices.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management or procurement. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions. Experience in the technology or background screening industry is a plus, and proficiency in contract management and compliance is highly desirable.
