Vehicle SOC Manager
Lucid Motors is seeking a Vehicle SOC Manager to lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in enhancing the security posture of Lucid's luxury electric vehicles by validating detections, refining response workflows, and improving telemetry through adversary-informed testing techniques. The Vehicle SOC Manager will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the SOC's effectiveness across vehicle, cloud, and other environments.
Key responsibilities include continuous validation of SOC detections across vehicle telemetry, telematics, backend services, and cloud APIs. The manager will design controlled adversary simulations to test SOC capabilities, focusing on scenarios like API misuse, lateral movement, and unauthorized diagnostics. Additionally, the role involves working with platform and product teams to enhance log coverage and quality, defining high-value security signals, and reducing redundant telemetry. The manager will also validate SOC incident response workflows through detection-driven exercises and tabletop scenarios, aiming to improve metrics such as Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Respond (MTTR).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in SOC operations, detection engineering, or incident response. A deep understanding of SOC operations, alert lifecycles, detection engineering, and adversary techniques is essential. Proficiency with SIEM and SOC tooling, cloud and API monitoring, and network and system telemetry is required. Strong scripting or automation skills in languages like Python, Go, or C are also necessary. Leadership and collaboration skills are crucial, as the role involves working with cross-functional teams to align SOC monitoring with standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155/R156.
