Vehicle Mechanic - Akron, OH

Bird is seeking a full-time Vehicle Mechanic in Akron, OH, to join their mission of transforming urban mobility. As a Maintenance Specialist, you'll be integral to ensuring the optimal performance of Bird's electric vehicle fleet, contributing to cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions.

In this role, you'll diagnose and repair electric scooters and bikes, ranging from minor fixes to comprehensive refurbishments. You'll also manage warehouse operations, including moving vehicles and overseeing inventory, while collaborating closely with your team to address challenges and share insights. Leading by example, you'll maintain an organized, safe, and positive work environment.

Ideal candidates will possess mechanical skills or a strong aptitude for learning, be comfortable using hand tools and smartphone applications, and demonstrate excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities. The role requires the capacity to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods, with weekend availability being essential.

Compensation for this position is set at $16 per hour.
