Messagepoint is seeking a User Experience Designer to join our team on a contract basis, focusing on enhancing our AI-powered SaaS solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Product Management, and R&D teams to design intuitive and modern user experiences for features such as chat interfaces, in-product assistants, and insight surfaces. This position offers the potential for transition to a full-time role.

As a User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for defining UX strategies and principles, designing core user interfaces, and creating prototypes at various fidelities, from low-fidelity maps to high-fidelity Figma prototypes with realistic data and micro-interactions. You will operationalize trust and safety measures within the UI, handle uncertainty, display citations, preview actions, require approvals, and ensure outcomes are reversible. Additionally, you will evolve our design system to support AI patterns, partner with AI/ML teams to align UX with solution capabilities, and champion accessibility and enterprise readiness, adhering to WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Product/UX Design, including at least 1 year focused on AI-powered experiences in production SaaS products, preferably within regulated industries. Proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, Auto Layout, component properties, design tokens, and prototyping for complex, stateful flows, is essential. Advanced prototyping skills to simulate streaming responses, agent steps, approvals, and errors using Figma, along with the ability to specify motion and export to Lottie when needed, are required. A strong understanding of accessibility standards, data and insight UX, and enterprise SaaS patterns is also necessary.
