Ubuntu Sales Engineer (Entry-Level)

Canonical is seeking an entry-level Ubuntu Sales Engineer to join its global Field Engineering team. This role focuses on assisting enterprises in adopting Ubuntu Pro and other open-source technologies, working closely with sales leads to address customer needs and drive commercial success.

Key responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, advising on Ubuntu and related applications, identifying and articulating solutions to open-source challenges, delivering presentations and demonstrations, providing feedback to product teams, and collaborating with sales teams to achieve targets. The position involves up to 25% global travel for events and customer meetings.

Candidates should have a strong academic background, preferably with a technical degree, and demonstrate confidence in communication, a track record of exceeding expectations, and a commitment to continuous learning. Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualization, containers, networking, cloud computing concepts, and intermediate Python programming skills are essential. Experience with Debian or Ubuntu is preferred.
