Title Construction Worker

The Construction Worker role at HTC involves interpreting service and engineering work orders to lay cable in trenches, plow, or erect on pole lines. The position requires assisting in placing cable within underground conduit systems, using plows, digging, trenching, and boring equipment, and restoring disturbed surfaces like concrete and bituminous pavement. Additional duties include trimming trees and performing other landscaping tasks as necessary.

Key responsibilities encompass operating and maintaining automotive, bracing, hoisting, and hydraulic equipment, and working flexible hours. The role demands physical capabilities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting over 100 pounds. A valid state driver's license with a good driving record is required.

Applicants should have completed a high school degree or GED. Desired attributes include initiative, responsibility, a safety-minded approach, a team-player attitude, and self-motivation. The position may be filled on a part-time or full-time basis, with consideration given to relevant skills, knowledge, and prior experience.
