Test & Evaluation Engineer, Maritime
Anduril Industries is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on developing advanced maritime and submersible products. This role involves planning, executing, and reporting on testing activities, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, test specialists, and external partners to manage and coordinate test and evaluation efforts within the UK and Europe.
Key responsibilities include preparing for trial deployments by identifying and sourcing test equipment, coordinating deployment logistics, and supporting risk assessments for test operations. The engineer will install systems in surrogate field test assets, develop and review standard operating procedures, conduct daily inspections and system checks, execute test operations following approved procedures, and perform maintenance and troubleshooting in the field. Additionally, the role involves coordinating launch and recovery operations, authoring detailed test reports, and providing feedback to design and manufacturing teams. The position requires spending over 50% of the time in the field, supporting nearshore and offshore testing.
Candidates should have experience in product development or certification within regulated industries such as maritime, aerospace, or energy. Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, performing functional checkouts and tests, and diagnosing issues is essential. Familiarity with Defence and Civil Maritime Regulations related to sub-surface test operations is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build and utilize internal and external relationships, and the capacity to manage various tasks autonomously are also important. Applicants must be able to work extended hours as needed, possess a valid driver's license, and be eligible to obtain a UK Security Check (SC) clearance or higher.
The salary range for this position is £66,000 to £88,000 GBP, with actual offers varying based on factors such as experience, education, and critical skills.
