Test & Evaluation Engineer

Latitude Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Test & Evaluation Engineer Support Specialist to join our team in Manassas, VA. This role is integral to our projects, involving collaboration with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration. The position offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.

Key responsibilities include defining, documenting, analyzing, conducting, and interpreting tests in collaboration with various engineering groups and external entities. The engineer will identify functional issues and propose effective resolutions, develop and analyze test cases, and provide regular progress updates. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role reports directly to a supervisor or manager.

The ideal candidate will have experience crafting comprehensive test procedures and utilizing electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. Responsibilities also encompass conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes, performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems, and assisting in lab configuration according to relevant drawings and port maps. Supporting both informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities, is essential. Additionally, the role involves identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects, collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities. Supporting the Logistics team in developing installation and operation procedures is also part of the role.

Navy or submarine experience is considered a valuable asset for this position. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $30 to $35, reflecting the level of expertise and experience required.
