Test Engineer
The Test Engineer position at Voyager Technologies involves conducting environmental testing, including thermal vacuum, thermal, vibration, and shock tests, on complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The role focuses on developing new test architectures, plans, and procedures to ensure product reliability and performance. This position is based in San Diego, CA, and reports to the Vice President of Product Design within the Engineering department.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, scheduling, and executing functional performance and environmental test architectures. The Test Engineer will develop and track test procedures, plans, and schedules, as well as report, discuss, and document test results. Additional duties involve reviewing board and system-level functional specifications, design documents, and project documents, participating in design and code reviews of software products, and ensuring all developed test protocols adhere to testing standards and are properly documented.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, along with over eight years of experience in test engineering with demonstrated technical skills. Required expertise includes configuring Automated Test Equipment (ATE) components, developing test automation software using LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, C#, or Visual Basic, and working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with test tools and equipment, particularly high-end spectrum and vector network analyzers, and proficiency in writing and executing test procedures are also essential.
The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
