Territory Account Executive, North Bay / San Francisco
The Territory Account Executive role at Square is a field-driven position focused on engaging local businesses in the North Bay and San Francisco areas. Key responsibilities include spending approximately 80% of the workweek in the field, conducting 50–60 targeted business visits weekly. The executive will run a full-cycle, self-sourced sales motion: generating leads, identifying client needs, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and closing deals across Square's product suite. Additionally, the role involves developing a high-velocity pipeline through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and establishing partnerships.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience. A proven track record of exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals is essential. The ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, along with business development experience such as hunting and cold calling, is required. Since this is a field position, reliable transportation and residency in the market served are necessary.
Square offers a competitive compensation package, with salary ranges varying based on location. For example, in Zone A, the salary range is $148,700 to $223,100, which includes target variable compensation.
