As a Strategy Director at Monks, you will lead the strategic vision for a portfolio dedicated to one of the world's most significant digital ecosystems. This role focuses on ecosystem strategy, defining how users and developers experience the web, mobile platforms, and the future of internet standards. Monks is a global, digital-first company that combines marketing and technology services to redefine brand interactions.

Your key responsibilities will include owning the strategic narrative across a suite of digital products, ensuring a unified voice and user journey across browsers, operating systems, and web platforms. You will apply a UX lens to brand challenges, evaluate user interactions with digital interfaces, and identify opportunities to improve on-device experiences. Additionally, you will strategize how to communicate complex technical shifts, such as the move to a post-cookie web or generative AI integration, to both casual users and the developer community.

The ideal candidate will have 7–12+ years of experience in digital strategy, UX strategy, or product marketing within an agency or tech-first company. A deep understanding of how the internet works, including the importance of browsers, the evolution of mobile operating systems, and the impact of AI on the digital experience, is essential. Proficiency in user flows, wireframes, and digital architectures, along with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into persuasive narratives, is required. An agile mentality and excellence in storytelling are also key attributes for success in this role.

This is a 6-month contract assignment with an hourly rate ranging from $85 to $93 USD. The role is subject to Monks' Return to Office policy, which may require working from the office a set number of days per week, depending on your proximity to one of their office locations.

Monks fosters an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive. They are committed to building a team that reflects the communities they serve and welcome qualified applicants from all backgrounds who are excited to contribute to their mission.
