Technology Strategy & Operations Director
The Technology Strategy & Operations Director at Divergent serves as the Chief Platform Development Officer's principal advisor, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans within the Technology organization. This role is pivotal in advancing the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS), an innovative design and manufacturing platform that leverages machine learning and additive manufacturing to produce complex vehicle structures and subsystems. Divergent is a leading Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs and is expanding into the Aerospace and Defense sectors.
Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end Objectives and Key Results (OKR) cycle for the Technology organization, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals, and facilitating regular leadership meetings to address and resolve operational challenges. The director will also oversee internal communications, produce updates and technical demonstrations, and manage relationships with external technology leaders to gather competitive intelligence and explore strategic partnerships.
The role requires a minimum of eight years of operational experience in dynamic, technical startup environments, with a proven ability to develop streamlined business processes from ambiguous situations. Candidates should demonstrate strategic influence, particularly in collaboration with C-suite executives on long-term planning, and possess strong communication skills to translate technical details into business value for various stakeholders. Experience in coaching leaders at all levels and contributing to internal knowledge bases is also essential.
