Technologist I, Upstream Manufacturing - Biologics - Eurofins CDMO Alphora, Inc.
As a Technologist I in Upstream Manufacturing at Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc., you will be an integral part of the Biologics Business Unit, contributing to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) activities. Your role involves preparing and operating bioreactors, maintaining cleanroom readiness, and supporting process development initiatives. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can apply and expand your expertise in biologics manufacturing.
Your primary responsibilities include assisting with the planning and execution of upstream GMP runs, operating and maintaining key equipment such as single-use bioreactors and cell counters, and performing tasks like vial thawing, seed expansion, and media preparation. You will also support the drafting of Batch Production Records (BPRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct routine analytical tests, and ensure accurate documentation of all activities. Maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of GMP cleanrooms and pilot suites is also a key aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology or a related field, with up to one year of relevant industry experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in upstream bioprocessing, proficiency in drafting SOPs, and prior involvement in GMP runs are advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach are essential for success in this role.
Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc. offers a competitive starting annual base compensation of $65,000 CAD. The total compensation package, including benefits, will be determined based on the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
