Eurofins EnvironeX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team in Longueuil, Quebec. As part of a global leader in life sciences, our laboratory specializes in analytical testing services across various industries, ensuring product safety and quality. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing consumer products and materials in contact with drinking water, primarily focusing on pipes according to BNQ standards.
In this role, the technician will perform physico-chemical and mechanical analyses as requested, interpret sampling results, and draft technical reports, including recommendations when necessary. Responsibilities also include monitoring quality operations such as temperature records, calibration, and equipment verification in accordance with standards, specifications, and technical sheets. Additionally, the technician will contribute to maintaining ISO 17025 standards and undertake other related tasks to support the immediate supervisor.
Candidates must possess a DEC in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or an equivalent field. A bachelor's degree in chemistry and membership in the professional order are considered assets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows environment, along with an understanding of various software applications, is required. Advanced spoken and written French and intermediate English skills are essential.
The position offers a permanent, full-time role with a daytime schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
