Technical Solutions Engineer - Datacenter
Arista Networks is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team supporting data center products and solutions. This role is integral to our commitment to customer success, providing direct access to top-level engineers who excel in solving complex problems. As a TSE, you will collaborate with a diverse, multicultural team dedicated to delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
In this position, you will respond to customer product inquiries via telephone and email, resolve concerns during installation, operation, and maintenance, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, recommending corrective actions. Documenting customer communications and recurring technical issues is essential to support product quality programs and development.
The ideal candidate possesses a working knowledge of the networking industry, products, and protocols, with 2-5 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging, and administering network protocols and technologies such as AAA/TACACS, ACL, ARP, BGP, DHCP, Ethernet, Flow Control, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4 & IPv6, LACP, LLDP, MPLS, NAT, Open Flow, OSPF, PIM, QOS, RIP, Sflow, SNMP, STP/RSTP/MST, VARP/VRRP, VLAN, and VRF. Proficiency with troubleshooting tools like IXIA, tcpdump, and Wireshark is highly desired, along with a strong comfort level with Linux. Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, or shell is a plus. A minimum of a Master's degree in a technical field (CS/EE/ITP preferred) is required, with industry certifications and prior TAC experience preferred.
