Technical Product Owner
BrainRocket is seeking a Technical Product Owner to join our Compliance & Regulation Squad in Valencia, Spain. In this role, you will manage the technical backlog for our security and regulatory infrastructure, acting as a key bridge between our Core Banking engine and global compliance partners. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring operational integrity and adherence to international standards.
As a Technical Product Owner, your primary responsibilities will include owning and prioritizing the compliance backlog based on critical business objectives and global OKRs. You will act as the primary technical resource for integrations with identity verification (KYC), risk scoring, and anti-money laundering (AML) tools, managing technical dependencies with the platform and third-party providers. Additionally, you will gather and verify functional and non-functional requirements, build and maintain epics and stories with a focus on financial edge cases, and ensure every feature satisfies international standards such as PSD2/3, DORA, and PCI-DSS.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or System Analyst in Fintech, Banking as a Service (BaaS), or Regulatory Technology (RegTech). A deep understanding of the DORA framework, ISO 27001 principles, and the technical lifecycle of KYC/AML/CTF workflows is essential. Proficiency in documenting and testing RESTful APIs and webhooks, a solid understanding of backend architecture and data flow, and the ability to create and interpret UML and BPMN diagrams for complex money and data movements are also required. Strong analytical decision-making skills, leadership abilities, and advanced English communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
