Technical Consultant, Finance Systems Technology
Harbor is seeking a Technical Consultant to join its Financial Systems team within the Legal Technology and Operations (LT+O) practice group. This fully remote position is open to candidates in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The role focuses on the design, deployment, and optimization of server, database, and infrastructure components supporting the Elite 3E platform, ensuring a robust, scalable, and secure environment for enterprise financial systems within law firms.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining server architecture for Elite 3E, managing hosting environments (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid), and ensuring adherence to vendor design principles and security guidelines. The consultant will also execute infrastructure tasks for Elite 3E upgrades, coordinate downtime planning, and manage SQL Server environments, including performance tuning and query optimization. Operational support involves troubleshooting server-level issues impacting Elite 3E availability and providing escalated support for system outages.
Candidates should have experience with Elite 3E infrastructure, including installations, upgrades, and environment setup. Proficiency in Windows Server engineering, Microsoft SQL Server administration, and familiarity with Enterprise Service Bus or workflow engines is required. Scripting skills in PowerShell and experience with cloud and virtualization technologies, such as Microsoft Azure and VMware, are preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, along with over five years of infrastructure or systems engineering experience, is essential.
