Technical Assistant (jun./sen.) NGS (m/w/d)
Eurofins is seeking a Technical Assistant (junior/senior) specializing in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibilities include RNA/DNA extraction from various materials, preparation and quality control of DNA and RNA libraries, and conducting molecular genetic analyses using technologies such as PCR and NGS. The role also involves monitoring automated laboratory processes, operating Hamilton robots, maintaining and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documenting processes in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Additionally, the Technical Assistant will support the NGS laboratory head in planning and scheduling laboratory activities, experiments, and projects, as well as providing guidance and support to team members in their daily tasks.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or Molecular Biology, or have completed training as a Technical Assistant. Experience in NGS, including data generation and analysis, is essential. Familiarity with NGS platforms and technologies (e.g., Illumina or Oxford Nanopore), a solid understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures, proficiency in using laboratory equipment and data analysis software, and knowledge of quality control measures and compliance standards are required. Strong organizational and planning skills, adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide guidance and support to junior team members are also important.
