Team Lead Full Stack Developer (Node.js & React) - Fintech Solution (Portugal)
BrainRocket is seeking an experienced Team Lead Full Stack Developer specializing in Node.js and React to join our fintech development team in Lisbon. This on-site role involves leading a cross-functional team in developing high-performance payment systems, ensuring scalability and security for real-money transactions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and driving technical excellence within our innovative company.
Key responsibilities include managing a team of engineers through activities such as periodic feedback, one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and preparing individual development plans. The role also involves assigning tasks, ensuring balanced workloads, actively engaging in product development by writing and reviewing code, and delivering periodic product improvements. Additionally, the Team Lead will lead the development of our in-house fintech platform, focusing on performance, scalability, and security, and build and manage complex payment API integrations with banks, PSPs, and third-party services.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with over 8 years of professional experience in IT, including at least 3 years in leadership positions. A minimum of 2 years of experience in fintech, banking, or financial systems, particularly with real-money transactions, is highly preferred. Proficiency in Node.js and React, strong TypeScript skills, and hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL, and MongoDB are essential. Expertise in REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets for secure financial integrations, as well as experience with Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and secure development practices, are also required. An advanced level of English is necessary.
