Team Lead Backend Developer (Node.js)
BrainRocket is seeking an experienced Team Lead Backend Developer specializing in Node.js to join our dynamic development team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a global company delivering end-to-end tech products across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing sectors, BrainRocket has rapidly expanded its presence in multiple countries, including Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Poland, and Serbia. In this role, you will lead a team of backend engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely releases. Your responsibilities will include actively writing, reviewing, and refactoring code, designing scalable technical architectures, integrating third-party APIs, and maintaining coding standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of professional experience in backend development, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership positions. Proficiency in Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript is essential, along with a strong understanding of JavaScript (ECMAScript 6), RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and experience with databases such as MySQL. Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Redis, as well as experience with Git version control, is also required. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong leadership abilities, and an upper-intermediate or advanced level of English are necessary for this position.
